We had another wonderful year at the Brethren Disaster Relief Auction thanks to our many volunteers and auction-goers!
Together we have raised over $468,000 thus far (updated). Some of our feature items included a Landis Myer hand-made table that sold 3 times bringing in a total of $4,000. A quilt called “Have a Little Faith” raised $3600, and another called “Diamond Lite” was sold twice to raise another $3,600. Two gold coins sold for $2600 each; a theme basket called “A House Divided” sold for $560; and a copper kettle in the Pole Barn brought $400.
We Brethren still like to eat well too! Our baked goods brought in over $10,000 and our general food stands generated $34,000.
But it is your generous hearts that really help us to meet the needs of our troubled world. Your general contributions stand at $85,000 plus another $25,000 raised through our Matching Funds auction. The Matching Funds have been earmarked for “Hurricane Florence” relief. It’s not too late to contribute. If you or your church would like to make a gift or take a special offering designated for Hurricane Florence, this challenge will remain open until the end of October 2018.
Checks can also be mailed to our office earmarked “Matching Funds”.
